Library displays have historically been used to highlight collection items. In recent years displays in the BYU library have been used by some in non-traditional ways to foster belonging and connection with patrons and faculty. For this session we will discuss our journey as we have curated some of these displays and the lessons we have learned in the process. Some of these applications include highlighting the lives and research of faculty and authors; allowing patrons to contribute to displays and have their input seen by others to create a dynamic display; hands-on interactive displays, and augmented reality.
