An essential component of catalog maintenance includes ensuring adequate subject representation within records. However, for many catalogers, the idea of undertaking a catalog record enhancement project can feel intimidating. In this session, we will share our practical approach to revising hundreds of records with missionary-related subject headings representing a wide variety of religions and geographic subdivisions. We will discuss the challenges we faced and outline our step-by-step process, which can be applied by catalogers at any institution.
