Mentoring is a vital component of succession planning. It helps you find and train new leaders, and create a pool of potential successors through relationships with leaders and experts within your organization. Salt Lake County Library System launched a training program in 2022 for our employees who wanted to explore the role of Assistant Manager. We will highlight how mentoring has been essential to the success of the program.
