I have spent 23 years at MSU Billings Library, where I have been a Librarian/Archivist. This past year I transitioned into the role of Library Director. Our presentation for this conference focuses on leadership. Hence, I need to state that I am and will continue to be an adaptive leader, who embraces disequilibrium. I am a leader who is continuously learning and growing from missteps. I am one who generates engagement by empowering all staff to lead in their roles, and a leader who is true to my authentic self. I have a supportive, engaged, and energetic staff who knows how to laugh. On the personal side of life, I own an Airstream which has only just begun to take me to wonderful, beautiful places in our country. Or course my two pups love it when they see mom loading up the camper. They know it will be a weekend of running the mountain trails and sitting by the campfire at night - hopefully sharing a smore.
